Education Requirements

The continuing education cycle for North Dakota licensees is 9 hours annually. Licensees must complete 9 hours of ce (3 of which are in a mandatory course) prior to renewing their licenses. There is NOT a grace period for completing your education. If you do not have the required number of hours for an active license you need to renew to the inactive status until you have completed the required education. Keep in mind that the continuing education hours you use to activate an inactive license cannot be used to meet the 9 hrs. of continuing education required annually.

The mandatory course for 2010 is an agency course with emphasis on appinted agency. The Commission selected this course content based on a recommendation from the Appointed Agency Task Force. To date one classroom course has been approved "Agency in the 21st Century", course number MAN1011-017. The mandatory course is also available online, "ND Agency in the 21st Century", course number MAN1011-278.
